Meet General Manager Benjiman Kent
General Manager and Director of Golf Benjiman Kent has been a part of the Persimmon Woods Golf Club staff since 2003. He was elevated to Head Professional in 2006 and became our General Manager & Director of Golf in October 2008.
A native of Watertown, Minnesota, Ben moved to St. Louis in 2003 to join the Persimmon Woods staff after terms of service in Minnesota, Florida and Wisconsin.
Ben earned Class A Membership into the PGA of America in 1999, earning Titleist Foot-Joy Apprentice Scholarships during his Member Training with the PGA.
He has 16 years of Golf Industry experience. In 2008, he was honored by the Gateway Section of the PGA of America with the Private Club Merchandiser of the Year Award and was a 2010 finalist for the Bill Strausbaugh Award for his commitment to promoting and mentoring PGA Professionals in the Gateway Section and for his community involvement through the game of golf in metro St. Louis. In both 2011 and 2012, he was a finalist for the Gateway's Horton Smith Award for Education, winning the award in 2012. He was elected by his peers in the Gateway PGA to serve as Secretary in November of 2012 and serves on The Board of Directors for the Gateway PGA, as well.
Ben earned his B.A. from the University of Minnesota and his MBA from Marquette University in Milwaukee. He and his wife, Veronica, have one son, Payne Alexandyr and one daughter, Vivienne Elizabeth.
