The championship golf course, designed by architect Keith Foster, ranks among the
best courses in St. Louis, as evidenced by the major championships contested at Persimmon Woods. The club has hosted top-tier events ranging from the Missouri State Amateur, PGA National Professional Championship, U.S. Senior Open and U.S. Open Men’s and Women’s Qualifying.
In 2013, Persimmon Woods hosted both the Gateway PGA’s National Professional Championship Qualifying Tournament and the Metropolitan Amateur, the finest amateur event in St. Louis. In 2016, the St. Louis Women's District Match Play Championship was held at Persimmon Woods. While the course can challenge the region’s
top golfers, the design is extremely playable for men, women and children of all skill levels. In 2020, Persimmon Woods will host the St. Louis Men's District Golf Association's Griesedieck Amateur Championship, the oldest amateur event in St. Louis.
The club’s Golf Professionals, headed up by Partner, General Manager and Director of Golf Benjiman Kent, PGA, enable Members to enjoy the game to its fullest. A full-service golf shop features more than 200 brands from which to select. PWGC Members enjoy instruction and practice on one of the state’s finest practice facilities – featuring two driving ranges, a short-game area for shots up to 100 yards and three practice putting and chipping greens. Members enjoy a full slate of annual club events that range from both a very social to a very competitive nature.
