Persimmon Woods provides the premier pure golf experience for St. Louis’ Golf Purists. Opening in June of 1998 to rave reviews and a full Membership, our 18 holes are thoughtfully routed over 198 lush and rolling acres. Designed by renowned Golf Course Architect Keith Foster, the front nine starts with a decidedly links-style feel with wide-open fairways framed by native grasses and wildflowers. On the 4thHole, new challenges are encountered with the introduction of several creeks and ponds. On the Back Nine, the course transitions to park-like design routed through mature trees and rolling hills. Your round concludes with on the18thHole, a Par-5 emerging from the trees and offers golfers a dramatic downhill approach to a green perched just beyond a serene pond. The Persimmon Woods clubhouse serves as a backdrop at No. 18, an invitation for more good times following your round of golf.Boasting seven sets of tees from which to play, our Par 71 private oasis measures a challenging 6,939 yards from the back tees and 4,805 yards from the forward tees. Privately-owned, Persimmon Woods is led by Donna Calamia, the majority shareholder in the golf club. Ms. Calamia has been involved in the Club since 2004 and has continued the club’s original vision of maintaining a pristine quality course, including a complete greens renovation in 2024 concluding in the course reopening in May of 2025, once again, to rave reviews.
